Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) to the present

Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) is a common primary glomerular diseases of children and adults with nephrotic syndrome (NS). Histopathological features of glomerular segmental scarring, with or without the formation and adhesion of the foam cells within the glomerular capillary.
Focal refers to only part of the glomerulus was involved (the glomerular <50% involvement); segmental part of the lobules of the glomerulus was involved; global sclerosis refers to the entire glomerular stage of hyaline changes or scarring. Other pathological changes include: degradation of diffuse mesangial cell proliferation and capillary collapse and focal glomerulosclerosis. FSGS caused by a known cause (HIV or diamorphine) with idiopathic patients with pathological changes.
Focal sclerosing glomerulonephritis is a different concept with FSGS, the former can be either idiopathic or Sofitel performance of FSGS, the performance of other glomerular or tubulointerstitial disease. The disease mostly occurs in children and young people, men slightly more than women, and children were mainly primary nephrotic syndrome, a common histopathological change is minimal change-based. The adult is mainly focal segmental glomerulonephritis, membranous nephropathy and micro-lesion type.
